International Projects

Aguasin’s growth and development in five decades have allowed us to successfully position our company out of the Chilean borderline. The company has participated in countless very important projects with a high technology complexity.

Countries

AMEC- DE BEERS

  • A few years ago a diamond mine was discovered near the arctic polar circle (Canada). This mine had to solve a complicated purification and water treatment problem in order to be exploited and fulfil the environment regulations of that country.
  • Thanks to its experience and knowledge, Aguasin designed a plant capable of operating in adverse weather conditions in the north pole. This one operates since a few years ago according to every design parameter and the client’s request.
  • This project was developed in two stages: one 5.000 m³/day pilot plant and the second stage with a 35.000 m³/day definitive plant in 12 filters with automated depth and a diameter of 3.65m each, under the design of ASME and certified by CSA. This plant is located in Snape Lake, Yellownife, NT, Canada.

PEMEX

  • There are no boundaries or impossible challenges for Aguasin.
  • Through Proconser group in Mexico, PEMEX made Aguasin an invitation to provide a water desalinisation plant for a rig in the Gulf of Mexico, Aguasin accepted the challenge and designed, built and got the treatment plant running in containers designed under the strictest standards in the oil industry, including the explosion protection regulations MEC class 1 division 1.
  • The plant was built in Chile and sent by sea to Mexico where it was received by the NOHOCH platform with total satisfaction.

GROUP PEÑOLES (DIVISION PARREÑA-MILIPILLAS)

  • Peñoles group, through its Parreña-Milpillas Division, gave to Aguasin the double pass reverse osmosis plant, with pre-treatment to condition 24m3/h of process water to treat the water in a copper mine located in Estado de Sonora, Mexico.
  • The plant was predesigned and built in Chile and then was sent by sea to Mexico where it operates since the beginning fulfilling each and every clients’ needs.

OXINOVA

  • Chilean capitals were invested in a plant of MDF in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, they trusted Aguasin the design, construction and assembly of the water treatment plant for its installation. This plant was designed and built in Chile and sent to Venezuela by sea, installed and initiated by Aguasin personnel.
  • The treatment is through double pass reverse osmosis with pre-treatment with active carbon and absorbent element and a final polisher through ionic exchange. The water is used for the resin process for the boards operation of the MDF.

SALICA DEL ECUADOR S.A.

  • To follow the environment regulations and norms in Ecuador, Salica del Ecuador S.A. put the design and construction of a activated mud sewage treatment plant, model LA-750-AE in Aguasin’s hands. This treats a 144m3/day flow and it includes a sewage elevation system, process tank (biological treatment), chlorination treatment and dechlorination of the effluent and mud treatment.

LA LLAVE. MALL SANTO DOMINGO

  • The available water located in a new mall in Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador, needed treatment and special design for the particular conditions there in order to have drinking water for that important investment.
  • This plant, consisting in an impulse system, manganese iron eliminator filter, chemical product dosage system, force and control board and PLC for programming and automatic operation of the plant.

PROFERTIL

  • This client needed a no minor volume of water to manufacture fertilizers, which is provided by Bahia Blanca City from a lake near by the plant. The problem was that there were seaweed and microorganisms which had to be filtered before being able to use water in the process.
  • Due the solution was difficult and had not been solved in the past, Aguasin made studies, tests and analysis and designed a treatment plant capable of solving this problem. This plant was built in Chile, having 8 filters in automatic depth of 3.6m of diameter to treat a 1.200 m³/h flow.
  • The result was successful from the beginning, we accomplished water with higher quality than required and, in time, the productivity has overcome the most optimistic of the valuations made. It was an accomplished mission by Aguasin.

VELADERO

  • In the mining development of Barrick Gold in Veladero, San Juan, Argentina, Tecno Fast built the mine camp that required drinking water in extreme condition such as temperature, height, and contamination parameter in the available water.
  • Tecno Fast, associated with Aguasin along the years in this kind of plants, asked us to do the design and construction. Aguasin made the task in record time and according to the given requests, operating the reverse osmosis plant, designed in containers, allowing this mine to do its job with no problems until the date.
